Thank you to all who participated in the Junk-n-Treasure For Hope event that took place this past Saturday! It took numerous people involved in various areas for this to be a success. Even though we had a rain shower, many people shopped and we were able to raise a substantial amount of money for Community Helpers Services, Inc., of Knightdale, NC. The money raised will go toward the purchase of food that will be directly distributed into our community. Community Helpers also took the left over clothes as they have a clothing closet too, and all other unsold items to be given to the needy by them or other charities! Thanks again for your help!

Junk-n-Treasure For Hope is a Yard Sale that is sponsored by Grace Baptist Church to raise funds and food items for a community food pantry which is to take place on Saturday, May 16th. Difficult economic times have created a more than usual need in the community for basic necessities of life, and many of the food pantries and community services have been stretched to their limit. It is the desire of Grace Baptist Church to make a healthy contribution to that need by sponsoring this Yard Sale! All proceeds from the sale of donated items, and non-perishable food items will be donated to Community Helpers Service Center, Inc.(a non-profit), in Knightdale, NC.

We would like to encourage anyone interested in helping with this project to donate items for the Yard Sale, non-perishable foods, or by purchasing something at the Yard Sale on May 16th. Your involvement and help is needed to make a substantial impact in the needy lives of our community. You may contact Grace Baptist Church for further details.

The Navigators Men’s Ministry of Grace Baptist Church will be hosting a Super Bowl Party, Sunday, February 1st at 5:30 p.m. A video testimony of Tampa Bay’s All-Pro Derrick Brooks will be viewed prior to the game along with plenty of pizza and chips! A great fellowship and outreach opportunity!

Grace Baptist Church will celebrate Home Coming, Sunday, October 5th! The guest speaker for this occasion is Lewis Nelms, the founder and director of Gospelink Missions. Nelms will present the Gospelink Missions ministry in the 10 a.m. hour, and preach in the 11 a.m. morning service. A covered dish meal will be enjoyed after the morning service. Come join us!

Grace Baptist Church will celebrate its Home Coming Anniversary, Sunday, October 5th with speical speaker: Lewis Nelms of Gospelink (Missions Organization). Rev. Nelms will speak in the 10 and 11 a.m. hours, and then a fellowship meal will follow the morning service. Come join the celebration!

The Awana children’s ministry is scheduled to kickoff, Wednesday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m. You will not want to miss this exciting start!
